| The What's The Download® (WTD) blog was created to provide a platform for music fans, like you, to discuss the exciting and ever-evolving world of digital music and learn about the issues. Authored by the WTD Interactive Advisory Board, the blog allows you to connect with these music fans to voice your opinions and ideas and help be part of the solution to enhance the digital music experience for both music fans and music makers.
About the What’s The Download Interactive Advisory Board:
The "What's The Download® Interactive Advisory Board" consists of 12 young adults from across the country and is designed to give a direct and influential voice to fans of digital music. The Board serves as ambassadors to their peers and the music industry about file-swapping issues. The Board members convened during the 2005 GRAMMY® Awards to participate in an inaugural interactive roundtable with artists Kanye West, Earth Wind & Fire, Mark McGrath and JD Natasha, where they debated digital music topics like downloading, P2P, CD burning, subscription services, artist rights and consumer trends in digital entertainment. Since this historic meeting in Feb., the Board members has been active by speaking at local Recording Academy Chapter events, writing for the quarterly eNewsletter, "The Download," conducting college outreach programs, and participating on panels at industry conferences.
